Louis-Philippe Moar

As a producer of electronic music, Louis-Philippe Moar goes by the name Deejay Elmo. He founded the Atikamekw trio Red Rockerz. Based in Manawan, they had a huge success with their first music video Night Glasses, and in 2013 signed their first CD contract with DEP/Universal Music Group. In June 2012 Louis-Philippe accompanied the Manitoban rapper Joey Stylez at the Aboriginal Day live 2012 festival in front of a crowd of 20,000 fans. In 2014 the Red Rockerz’ album Electronic Gangster was nominated for Best Pop CD at the Aboriginal Peoples Choice Music Awards. Louis-Philippe is currently living in Kamloops, B.C., with his girlfriend, a Tahltan model from the Yukon.
