Normand Daoust

A graduate in acting of the Conservatoire d’art dramatique in Montréal, Normand Daoust is one of Québec’s prominent theater actors and playwrights. In 1999, together with a dozen other artists, he co-founded Le Cochon Souriant theater company. The company subsequently refurbished an old convent deep in the countryside as a venue for its own productions. In 2013, Normand Daoust was nominated for a Jutra for Best Supporting Actor for his role in Martin Laroche’s LES MANÈGES HUMAINS and went on to win a Special Mention Jury Prize at the Dieppe Festival du film canadien in France.
